1. Several misunderstandings in preparing sheep feed

As a sheep breeder, if you do everything yourself, you will benefit a lot. Feed is an important existence for sheep's survival and reproduction. Many sheep farmers will prepare feed for their sheep by themselves. A good formula may save money and speed up the growth of sheep. But if you get into the misunderstanding and haven't realized it, I am afraid you will go the wrong way, waste the raw materials, and still get no profit. Therefore, everyone must pay attention: Do not enter the following misunderstandings.

(1) There are many varieties of feed selection, greed, and complete patterns

It is not that the more feed varieties, the better. Pay attention to a "degree" in everything, and don't do anything wrong. We must follow in the footsteps of science. The breed of feed should be selected according to the different needs of the sheep at different growth stages. Excessive or incomplete varieties will directly affect the nutritional supply of the sheep. If there are many kinds, it will cause poisoning.

(2) I don't know how to work around, one formula goes to the end

Some sheep farmers, although the choice of feed species is quite scientific, they neglect to change the ratio of various nutrients in the feed according to the growth and changes of the sheep. What kind of food should I eat at any age?

(3) Misuse of feed additives, such as antibiotics, etc.

Sheep will always be infected with some harmful bacteria from time to time, which greatly affects its growth and reproduction speed. Therefore, if you have conditions, you can choose some high-quality growth additives to inhibit those harmful bacteria and ensure the sheep’s growth and reproduction speed. The growth rate must not be eager for success and blindly increase the amount of use. This is also expressly prohibited by the state, because it will cause the residual drug in meat products to exceed the standard or produce drug resistance, which will affect our own health. Earning money is earning money, but we don't do such ignorant things.

(4) Blind worship of protein

Protein is really a good thing. Whether it is a human or an animal, as long as you want to grow, you absolutely cannot do without this treasure. However, if you use excessively, it is a small matter to waste things. More seriously, it will increase the burden on the kidneys and heart and lungs of the sheep, and disturb blood circulation.

2. Sheep feed formula at various stages

The following are the sheep feed formulas we recommend for everyone at various stages, and you can choose them based on actual conditions.

(1) Formula of mixed concentrate for meat goat fattening period

Corn 57%, bran 10%, fried bean cake 19%, sorghum 8%, bone meal 1.5%, salt 1%, stone powder 0.5%, additives 3% (add 55mg copper sulfate pentahydrate, heptahydrate sulfuric acid per kilogram of the mixture Iron 129mg, zinc sulfate heptahydrate 260mg, manganese sulfate 220mg, potassium iodide 0.14mg, sodium selenite 0.14mg, cobalt chloride 0.53mg). This formula contains DE3.15 Mcal, CP 15.21%, Calcium 0.75%, Phosphorus 0.52%.

(2) Formula of mixed concentrate for male and female breeding goats for meat

Corn 38%, bran 15%, fried soybean meal 11%, salt 1%, sorghum 30%, bone meal 1.5%, table salt 1%, stone powder 0.5%, additives 3% (add 55mg copper sulfate pentahydrate per kilogram of the mixture, Ferrous sulfate heptahydrate 129mg, zinc sulfate heptahydrate 260mg, manganese sulfate 220mg, potassium iodide 0.14mg, sodium selenite 0.14mg, cobalt chloride 0.53mg). This formula contains DE3.1 Mcal, CP 12.77%, Calcium 0.73%, Phosphorus 0.55%.

(3) Fattening formula for adult goats (over 1 year old)

Corn 59%, sunflower cake 32%, yeast feed 5%, salt 1%, heavy calcium 2%, additives 1%. This formula contains DE2.8 Mcal/kg, CP17.79%, calcium 0.82%, and phosphorus 0.33%.

(4) Formula with a ratio of 8:2 for meat-weaned lamb and 6:4 after 7 months of age.

Corn 50%, bran 30%, fried soybean meal 20%. Feeding amount: 50～70g for 1 month; 100～150g for 2 months: 200g for 3 months; 250g for 4 months; 350g for 5 months; 400 for 6 months ~500g. The salt is mixed into the concentrate. If there is alfalfa hay, it can account for 30-60% of the total feed. Coarse feed is ad libitum.

(5) 60-day-old weaning and intensive fattening formula

Corn 83%, bean cake 15%, limestone ore powder 1.4%, salt 0.5%, additives 0.1% (zinc sulfate 260mg, manganese sulfate 80mg, magnesium oxide 200mg, methyl iodate 1mg, vitamin A500 international unit; vitamin D1000 international unit, Vitamin E20 International Units). Crush and mix well. The material consumption gain ratio is 1.86~2.41:1.

(6) Lamb fattening feed formula

62% corn, 12% bran, 8% soybean meal, 12% cotton meal, 1.8% stone powder, 1.2% calcium hydrogen phosphate, 1% urea, 1% salt, 1% premix. This formula contains 18% protein and the digestive energy of sheep is 12.94 MJ/kg.

(7) Intensive fattening concentrate formula

①The first 20 days: 46% corn, 20% bran, 30% cotton meal or rapeseed meal, 1% stone powder, 1% calcium hydrogen phosphate, 1% salt, 1% premix. This formula contains 18.5% protein, and the digestive energy of sheep is 12.78 MJ/kg.

②Middle 20 days: corn 55%, bran 16%, cotton meal or rapeseed meal 25%, stone powder 1%, calcium hydrogen phosphate 1%, salt 1%, premix 1%. This formula contains 16.8% protein and the digestive energy of sheep is 13.00 MJ/kg.

③ Late 20 days: 66% corn, 10% bran, 20% cotton meal or rapeseed meal, 1% stone powder, 1% calcium hydrogen phosphate, 1% salt, 1% premix. This formula contains 15% protein and the digestive energy of sheep is 13.20 MJ/kg.

(8) Supplementary formula for sheep fattening concentrate

① Corn 62%, wheat bran 10%, soybean meal 23%, baking soda 1%, premix 4%.

② Corn 60%, wheat bran 9%, soybean meal 11%, cottonseed cake 15%, baking soda 1%, premix 4%.

③Maize 58%, wheat bran 8%, soybean meal 16%, DDGS 13%, baking soda 1%, premix 4%.

④ Corn 62%, wheat bran 10%, soybean meal 15%, peanut cake 8%, baking soda 1%, premix 4%.

⑤ Corn 61%, wheat bran 10%, soybean meal 16%, rapeseed cake 8%, baking soda 1%, premix 4%.

⑥Corn 59%, wheat bran 8%, cottonseed cake 18%, rapeseed cake 10%, baking soda 1%, premix 4%.

⑦ Corn 60%, wheat bran 7%, soybean meal 12%, flax cake 16%, baking soda 1%, premix 4%.
